Good Luck everyone!! I am still surprised that its really calm in this room!! "STILL!!" Last year... It was a complete hectic mess!! *Giving everyone High 5's* Congratulations to everyone for remaining as calm as you are!!!

Not to change the calm environment of the thread... but is there any word on which day they should announce the first round this year... I think I got my announcement last year on the 17th or so...

This year I have to admit... Everyone is really calm!! Last year... there were many many nervous, excited... etc etc of emotional post!!!

Does anyone have any experience with this application and or any tips regarding the process that they can share?

I'm sorry to hear about everyone who has been rejected... Where are the positive letters at... This is a little much... I can't believe this... This letter doesn't seem real when they don't put your name on it and don't spell application correctly...

But honestly... I'm not upset...

Let's just hope they send out the letters all at the same time... because some of us have to work with a time difference... and that would be even worst... Think of the people in California!!

Maybe you go to a school that has a lot of willpower... If this login thing is true... They have the information... My adviser said to me in a e-mail "Fingers Crossed" and that was it... Some advisers have more willpower than the next... and or have kinder hearts... As someone told me on Twitter about the Fulbright wait... "This wait is a beast!"

I don't know about everyone else... but I have this strange feeling that when some of us... (maybe it's just me) Get their letters that may be afraid to open them... I have this feelings I may just stare at it and not open it fearing the worst... Ugh!! Oh brother... I mean not be make things worst but... at this stage (First Round) We are competing against the world for the country we want to go to... yikes!!

I agree!! You focus on rocking the Harvard interview and we promise to be here when you are done!! Trust me none of us are going anywhere until most of us find out... and before we offer support for people that need it!! Good Luck on the Harvard Interview! I somehow think you won't need the luck judging by the schools you are interviewing with... Mine included!! You will do GREAT!!!

Focus on that interview!! Harvard and a Fulbright are completely two different things... Focus on getting Harvard... You may get both!! Or at least one out of the GREAT two!!!

It's ok! There are many of us who feel the same way. What are you doing to help keep you mind from thinking about this? I'm watching a movie... and talking to people on here and Twitter... Did you ask your adviser?

So let me get this straight you can login in to some system and see ALL APPLICANTS??? Like applicants from other schools lol Just spoke to a finalist who mentioned her going to the second round on twitter... I asked her what she applied for... She applied for a ETA and her school rep told her as well... I am now getting replies on Twitter about ETA's as well... and other applicants So does that mean only ETA's today?!?!? I can admit that I HAVEN'T checked my e-mail for it because no one here has mentioned letters... So far today has been fun!!! I am sticking to this forum for updates and the latest.!!! lol

I agree!! The more information you know the better you feel!!! One way or another TODAY IS THE DAY... and we don't have to wait until next week or Jan. 31!!!

I think we are looking at it differently at this point... I agree with you in a way... but at this point when you have students that know... It's like playing a game of dodgeball and we are picking teams... Everyone else is getting picked and no one is calling on you... I'm not mad... I felt better when no one knew... but now it's just a matter of which school is going to tell... to me at this point it's not a Fulbright thing... Fulbright is being consistent we still don't have letters... At this point it depends on which school you went to... I e-mailed my adviser ONCE... after I got my reply I knew I wasn't going to get ANYWHERE with them... I go to a great school!!! I just didn't go to the one that tell their students before the letters. At the end of the day, I think what everyone is feeling is not like before when everyone didn't know... I think it's different... and only going to get worst because there are people that know before they get to know... That's all... i.e. the reason for everyone acting like this is because today is the day to find out and people already know their status...

I have to admit, I am calmer than I have ever been... because I know by the end of the day I will have an answer one way or another... However, I just find it a little unsettling how there are Fulbright advisers out there able to tell there students something... I don't know why other schools can't... who knows... Not to take away from the people who know they've made it to the second round... Shout out to them Congrats!! But... Do you realize that everyone who knows on this forum found out from their adviser not from an actually letter!?!?! My school is telling me that they won't know until I find out... Clearly, after hearing that some schools know... From here and on Twitter.... I am finding it hard to believe that MY school doesn't know anything... However, continues to give me the same reaction... Nevertheless, I am happy and still calm... but almost tempted to ask a person from another school that are telling their students to look up my status!!! lol
