  1. Congratulations Molly!
  2. Just had a horrible thought... Wouldn't it be the worst: In the excitement of receiving your letter you accidentally delete it!?!?
  3. I found it through a search (Fulbright 29) According to Twitter the 29 Finalist come from Grinnell College!!! Congrats to them!!
  4. I've been searching the Fulbright tag (#Fulbright) and have seen many people talking about making it to the second round... I searched Fulbright and the law firm just pops up... I hope EVERY program gets announced to today not just the ETA applicants... It's interesting to see how the amount of viewers has increased today on this forum (63 users)
  5. Where?? I didn't see it on Twitter???
  6. I hope its today... Especially when some people are already finding out... I already prepare my mindset for today I don't think I can be this calm waiting until next week...
  7. Yes Congratulations! Did your advisers happen to tell you when the letters will be going out?
  8. I am so happy you cleared that up... I'm glad to see that you are back in the boat with the rest of us! We missed you!
  9. Sleep anyone? I hope everyone has a great night. Try your best to get a good nights rest and most importantly stay healthy!! I know this will be hard for most, however, tomorrow before you open your letters get something to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. (whenever you receive your letters) If possible, sit calmly and read your letters! Remember, whatever happens we are all here for the support you need!! Again, have a great night, sleep well and Good Luck for tomorrow!! (This is me trying to get some sleep) Is it tomorrow yet? Just Kidding!!
  10. Ummm no, but if you are... could you tell me what it says for a Cancer!!
  11. After talking to some applicants... this reminds me of a gift giving holiday... Either Christmas or Hanukkah... Wondering what and if you are going to get the gift you have always wanted... Or like the naughty and nice list with Santa... a lump of coal. I know this is a crazy metaphor, however, reading this forum is like the Children's Christmas Book. "Twas a Night Before Christmas". Everyone is waiting patiently (I mean impatiently) for tomorrow to hear the news lol!
  12. Yea... I wouldn't be upset if we replaced this story with another metaphor... But it was great when it was first told!!
  13. I don't know about everyone but after finding out the news... that we will know tomorrow. It has helped out a lot. I am not nervous like before... I feel a little calmer that I will know soon enough!!!
  14. Do you think they will start tonight and go into tomorrow? I heard they did that last year... I wish there was somewhere we could go to definitely find out it is going to be tomorrow...
  15. A few last minute words before tomorrow! Good Luck to everyone waiting patiently for tomorrow to arrive. I hope tomorrow brings great success in the Fulbright notifications. Whether we make it to the second or not... we will be here for you. Congratulations if you make it into the second round tomorrow. For those people, we will be here to encourage you to remain calm and patient for the final round. For those that don't make it to the second tomorrow...your fight isn't over and we will be here for your support as well however you need it. The last few weeks of reading this forum have been great. I am proud of all of us making it to this point. As I have said before... Getting to this point speaks volumes! Good Luck and Congratulation to you all! Is it tomorrow yet?
  16. It just may be the Chicago area! lol
  17. Doesn't it all depend on the program and the country you apply for? I mean someone said that Germany lets people know Mid-March... For argument sake, lets hope they applied for the countries that won't give them the late notification. In addition, help those in tough decisions and need help coping under the pressure of it all!!
  18. They are not the only one... My adviser is not in the loop either... They have already told me they don't know until we know..
  19. I understand where RusPNI is coming from... Many people have their lives on hold not because they are waiting... I mean yes it's 50% but it's something... It's better than nothing... As I read this forum, I notice people putting other programs on hold until they hear about the Fulbright. Many people have a lot riding on this decision. I just hope the people on this forum can be just as supportive for those that don't make and for those that will be waiting during the next process.
  20. Happy Birthday by the way!! May this be the perfect gift!
  21. I just got a letter from my advisers stating the offices doesn't get notified until we do... oh brother!!! No help there... I agree with @msafiri... For those of us that make it to the next round... that wait may be unbearable... I have to admit, I feel a lot better knowing that it is going to be tomorrow... When I first read the post about the notification being tomorrow a rush of nervousness came over me... But knowing something is making me feel better... Knowing something is better than nothing at all... Now when tomorrow gets here I don't know if I will be so calm. But for now! I don't have to check my e-mail because I know it will be tomorrow! Thanks for the relief!!! Good Luck to everyone here!!! The fact we have made it this far speaks volumes!!
  22. This will all be over soon!!! (Well, at least step 1) Have we actually determined the actual day we should be looking out... Maybe it will lessen the anticipation of it all... Something is better than nothing...?? and so we don't have to constantly check our e-mail messages including junk/spam... I'm really surprised we haven't received anything yet... not even a messages telling us it's quickly approaching!?!?
  23. The best recommendation for you is to not read the rest of this forum until after you have been notified... unfortunately, I don't see this forum making you calm in the near future. I would come back after you have received notification regarding the first round... I have to admit you are freaking out like most of us... and taking it pretty well... I feel the same way... depending on the response I get from this first round determines a lot on how I plan things for the rest of the year...
  24. After much thought, I realize, this waiting game means more to others than most... For some, depending on the response they receive for the first round could mean various plans being created or changed... A lot of personal decisions are going to be determined just by this response. For others this is a great opportunity for their resumes, learning a new thing or accomplishing a dream etc. This doesn't ease the tension and nervousness we are all experiencing, nevertheless, it interesting to hear the stories and questions being posted...
  25. No, I'm not quite that bad... I hope I don't get that bad... So I guess the countdown begins?!?! I was reading the Fulbright forum for this time last year... The notification date was moved to Jan. 24 and then later to Jan 20. Do you think they will do that this year? I also read that the advisers are notified a day before we are... unfortunately, they can't tell us of our status... So if we were going by what happened to them last year... Thursday is our day!!! Jan 19!?!?!
