  1. According to the STATA spreadsheet I should have been notified last Thursday. Fulbright must be late. THIS WEEK! Good Luck everyone!
  2. Thank you all so very much for the advice... I'm pretty sure I'll follow the MA-PhD path, especially seeing how many of you have had wonderful funding opportunities to help finance your own graduate degree. I was just a little worried that I wouldn't be able to afford getting a MA, or there would be a lack of finance options (grants, scholarships, loans) to help with cost... I've read and reread all of your advice and will most definitely take it all into consideration!! Thanks!
  3. So, I know this isn't the place, but figure I might as well ask anyway... (I think it's an appropriate question to ask a Fulbright crowd) I'm thinking a PhD in International Education (PhD, specifically because of funding) However, I'm not too sure as to what "research interests" I have in this field as my BA is in Psychology After researching programs for the past 2 years, I'm narrowed it down to a few MA and PhD Should I have a concrete research plan when applying to PhD programs? Do I even stand a chance of acceptance despite my limited background in education? Should I apply for a MA program, even though I'd be self-funding? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm working on my Plan B in case Portugal ETA doesn't work out! ANY advice will be greatly appreciated.
  4. For the record, Anyone else suffering from skipped heart beats at every e-mail they receive? It's really getting old... stupid e-mails from retailers and restaurants giving me mini heart attacks! :/
  5. Agreed. (Portugal, here.) We can be alone, together!
  6. Anyone else hoping to hear this week? (Based on Spreadsheet)
  7. I'm just going to throw this out there, but I think the spreadsheet is incredible... "Past Notification Dates" go as far back as 07-08... Imagine, a thread like this was started 5 years ago and all that was said in that thread is being used in 2012 to help the neurotic, anxious recommended Fulbrighters come up with some kind of timeline... In other news, according to the spreadsheet Portugal doesn't seem to be too popular in these forums and earliest notification date was last year, April 12th. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL APRIL 12TH!! AHH!!!!
  8. I too am tired of the waiting game.
  9. Seems like a lot of people are finding out today...
  10. I read his paper, novel in Kassel, it looked super interesting!!
  11. Once again, thank you all... sincerely He's the one and we'll just make it work.
  12. Accidentally hit post, but was going to finish with... "My heart skipped a beat just reading that e-mail.... ugh, hopefully I'll be getting one that reads the same in my inbox soon!!"
  13. Thanks for the insight... I agree, communication is key and skype is sure to make the 9 months bearable... in other news CONGRATS VORD!!!! M
  14. I'm at work right now and I can't seem to stay away!! Quick question: Anyone worried about leaving loved ones behind, if chosen for a Fulbright? I'll miss the boyfriend terribly if I'm gone, and hearing that long distance relationships never work is troubling. I truly believe we'll make it work and just feel this is just a little separation before we're together again.
  15. I'm here because I'm a huge nerd and find it fun... to go through the process with everyone else.. the ups and downs writing essays, securing letters of rec., and interview tips... =)
  16. Great! I'm going to have to agree with heyles... *Refresh*
  17. anxiously waiting... Here's to hoping for some good news, soon! Good Luck!
  18. Any other ETA Portugal Finalists out there?
  19. ETA Portugal Recommended I'm truly sorry for those of you who were rejected... It's been a long road and a rejection isn't exactly how one would like to end this journey, however... everything happens for a reason... Good Luck everyone on all your future endeavors!
  20. Any Portugal ETA applicants out there... I'm hoping the lack of Portugal ETA posts mean there weren't as many applicants ultimately resulting in better chances for me!! In all seriousness though, Good luck to everyone!!
