  1. When was your partner there? I was between CUSSW and the PH school a lot, but perhaps we crossed paths. I got the MSW in 2009 and the MPH in 2011.
  2. Adding to the suggestions above, The Disability Studies Reader can be a good place to start for disability studies. Also, Crip Theory. If you are interested in looking at journals, GLQ had an issue on disability and queer theory, edited by Robert McRuer & Abby Wilkerson (the former edited Crip Theory. Both worth looking into)... There is also always the Disability Studies Quarterly, which covers a range of perspectives and modalities. I do a lot of work in this area & queer theory (mostly relating to psychiatry), so feel free to message me if you are looking for more. Have fun
  3. I'm confused about the New England studies thing, too... as far as I can tell (via google) there is a program by that name at BU, but nothing at Yale. Re the AfAm/American Studies post, I'm guessing this means the other Yale American Studies decisions should start soon, since this degree is housed in both departments...
  4. Hi All, I have yet to chime in here, but I am also waiting on Yale AmStudies & NYU AmStudies (though I think the later has mostly sent out their acceptances). I also applied to UPenn's History & Sociology of Science, which is just quiet as the other two. To those of you who have received decisions via email or calls, I'm wondering if the contacts ever arrive after general business hours (in the time zone of the school). I'm assuming no, but I still keep checking long after 6 or 7pm EST. Best of luck to everyone else!!
