Did anyone apply to Moore College of Art and Design? I've heard that it has a good reputation, but it doesn't show up in rankings. I wonder if it being an all girl school (except MFA) has something to do with it. Does anyone know anyone there?

Is it typical of a school's financial aid office to contact you about "interest in apply for student financial aid" when you haven't been accepted to the school...yet? I did fill out my financial aid about a week ago with all of my schools listed on there. I wonder if it's just an automatic email. if so, false hope.

congrats, gumbojoe! i was looking at last years thread, and some people were notified via email feb 16th that they made it through the first round of admissions without the indication of an interview for tyler painting. sounds like they definitely wanted you! edited: i have applied to tyler painting and have not heard from them.

I wanted to see what happened this coming week last year. So, I figured that I might as well share. This is pretty much in chronological order of the week. When I say "Interview" it is not the interview itself, but an invitation for it. Also, I just did this as a general guideline for timing. It doesn't mean it's going to be exactly the same as last year. Good luck to anyone who has applied to these schools! Hello all! I been lurking on here for awhile, and I really enjoy this year's freak out so far! I have applied to 8 schools for painting and thinking I should've applied to a couple more. I've never check my email this much in the past month. And it looks like about another month to go. D:

@ kazoo Wow! Thank you so much! I've been trying to think of questions they would ask, but there are a few on here that I would've choked on. I've already had a skype "interview" for a school, but it was very informal and done before the application materials were due. He basically told me about the school, and only asked me two questions: why am I interested in the school, and do I plan on teaching. If the interview were more in depth like these questions, I wouldn't have been prepared! So, thanks again!

Are you referring to Applyweb? I applied to three schools on there including UTK, and after I completed the application, it says, "Sent, received, and confirmed!" Either way, if they are missing something, I'm sure you can call and ask. I have had to call them about three times about some stuff, and the woman I talk to at the art department is always really nice.
