  1. Thanks! That's so sweet of you! One thing I have learned here in eastern Europe though, is that life moves on regardless. Even when things don't work out, which they often don't.. other opportunities will guide us forward. Good luck to you-- I'm sure you'll get an e-mail soon. And if you don't, make a call-- there could be a technical glitch
  2. Rejected Fulbright full to Russia. Good luck to you all in your research and teaching. My path just became more clear-- off to business school I go!
  3. Today is Good Friday-- aren't offices closed? Besides, I e-mailed by campus advisor (they hear when announcements will be made before we do) and he said he hadn't received any word. Enjoy the Easter holiday and I'm crossing my fingers for next week! удачи НАМ!
  4. I'm a PCV in Moldova now! Waiting to hear about a full grant to Russia. удачи and noroc my friend!
  5. Wait, really? End of April/May? I thought it would be late March/April based upon when everyone heard last year. Eek! I am currently a Peace Corps volunteer in Moldova, and picked Russia because I already speak the language, and because my research project is about migrant groups in the region. Choosing Russia was without question
  6. I e-mailed Rachel Hoskin about how we are notified (I'm a full grant to Russia)... and she said we are notified by e-mail first, and then mail. Not sure if it applies to all programs, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same.
  7. Has anyone heard when orientation dates will be this summer? Particularly for Russia and the Europe and Eurasia group? In 2011 it was July 20-22. I will already be abroad and trying to tentatively plan for the chance of having to cut my travels short. Thanks
  8. You should know if your country requires a language interview. For Russia, it is the first thing listed under "country summaries" on the Fulbright website. If you are required to have an interview, I guarantee you that you will be contacted for it. Some countries don't require them... the ones that do are often where proficiency in the country's language is necessary.
  9. Just joined.. Recommended for full grant to Russia. Anyone know what we should expect for our language interviews? Just a general gauge of language proficiency or will it be pretty in depth about our projects? Good luck to everyone!
