No problem, pelevinfan. I do think there might be some delay. My understanding (I spoke with Prof. Lounsbery early in the process) is that there was an initial review by the Slavic Dept., followed by a review by Comp. Lit, and then back to the Slavic Dept. and I think we should expect to hear from the Slavic Dept. Enzian: I can confirm pelevinfan's response. All you needed to do was mention ISR in your SOP.

Congrats Origin! That's great news! I applied to ISR (the Russian/Comp. Lit. specialization) so I'm hoping I don't have to wait much longer to hear something.

I'm also waiting on that program, but I haven't heard anything as of yet. Looks like historically they post around the end of this week.

Yeah, I thought I might be entering a new psychological stage of waiting, but unfortunately the numbness only lasted long enough for me to get a good night's sleep.

I think I finally managed to exhaust myself with anxiety. I feel kind of detached and calm. (Although I haven't stopped checking my e-mail).

Aggg! Another day of unmitigated silence for me. This is made so much worse by not knowing when any of our programs are likely to report. I've already convinced myself that I've been outright rejected everywhere and I won't be told until March. How is everyone else holding up? To pelevinfan: yes, to better news in the future!

Not a clue, but hopefully before the anxiety kills me. I had an e-mail from a prof. at NYU last week (I did my MA there, so they know me) saying that the Comp. Lit. dept. would be meeting soon, but that doesn't mean much I suppose (this week? next week?). Post if you hear anything and best of luck!
