I just called Tyler to find out my status as they had promised to have the verdicts out by the end of this week. They immediately transfered me to Nicole, Director of Admissions and she told me I was waitlisted. The April 15th shuffle is going to be very interesting!

I have not heard of anyone getting news that they were rejected yet from RISD Printmaking. The people who have been accepted have been told. I emailed Andrew Raftery to find out my status and he told me that I was waitlisted. I called Tyler today and they said they would have their Printmaking decisions out by the end of next week.

Congrats to all who are getting good news! Has anyone heard from Tyler in Printmaking? I have heard that they can be terribly late in notifying people. I sure do find all the schools who got back to me quickly more attractive for their efficiency.

I don't have a BFA! I have a BA in something completely unrelated to my studio art practice. I did enroll for 3 semesters in a BFA program recently to build my skills, develop relationships with mentors, have access to great printmaking studios and have more studio art classes on my transcripts.

I just got an email from Cal State Long Beach saying that I am accepted! If that is where I end up going, I will immediately buy a surf board.

I have visited a number of the printmaking programs and Andrew Raftery and Brian Shure were two of the best professors I have met. They are both really talented, present teachers. It is too bad RISD is so expensive because the teachers there are incredible - not just great artists, but amazing teachers and mentors.

I think it is pretty standard to call and ask where you are at on the waitlist. It is important for you to know!

I applied to RISD for printmaking and haven't heard yet. I recently met with the head of the department and he said they were going slow this year because they can only accept 6 people (they over enrolled last year because all 10 they let in said yes and decided to come) Good luck and congrats to all with good news!

I spoke to Tyler this morning and all they will give up is "We will notify people by the end of March. The application decisions are going out in rounds until the end of March. You will first be notified on your online application where it says 'application status.'"

How did you check that online at Tyler? I went onto the Temple Banner application and it just said "Application Complete/In Process." Is that the site you found it on? Sorry to hear you didn't get in! I am suspecting the same as I am not sure I fit well with the aesthetics of the program.

I just got a call from University of Iowa letting me know I have been accepted. Whoa! Their application was due on February 1st. I wish they all had that kind of turn around!

Has anyone heard from UW - Madison in printmaking or is it only sculpture that has sent decisions out? Also - how did you all add your schools to the bottom of your posts? I am new here!
