Hey guys, I haven't been very active on here in awhile, but I've been looking out to see how everyone has been doing. Over the past few weeks I found out I got into SVA and Hunter too, but I decided I'm going to go to Tyler. If any of you are sure you are going there too (I know a couple of you are), we should get in touch! PM me if you want. We mine as well start building our community now Can't wait for August!

Yeah I actually have an interview there too for painting. Its actually on the 10th. Luckily I already got into one of my top choices, so I'm not stressed about it. Of course I know I'll still get butterflies as the interview gets closer. Goodluck to the other Hunter interviewees! I'm really looking forward to checking out the campus and current student work.

Unfortunately I don't think that is an indication of them accepting you (though in your case I hope I'm wrong!). I know I had to fill out a detailed financial aid form for Columbia, but it emphasized that this was standard for all applicants (accepted or not). I think most financial aid departments and schools request you to have in your FAFSA and other financial aid info by mid-February, which is of course before most schools even notify students of their admission decision. Then again..I could be wrong. I hope you get in regardless

any other painters hear back from Tyler?

Yikes, I hope it wasn't an accident...I thought it was really soon. I'll get in touch with them because I want to visit them anyway when I'm done in Vermont. early next month

Hard letter. Hah, no info on the postmark. My girlfriend actually opened it for me and read it (she lives with me), because I am in Vermont right now. No interview, which really surprised me because I had read about others at Tyler getting interviews in previous years. Maybe those were for different programs. I'm so excited!!! Now that I've gotten into one I can rest more easily.

I just got a letter of acceptance to Tyler's MFA Painting program!!!!!

Also just got my rejection from Yale. I guess I'm defintely not alone. Glad I found this forum. I think it will help me not feel alone in my anxiety during the wait. 7 more schools to go. Luckily I'm headed to a residency at the Vermont Studio Center tomorrow, so that will help me take my mind off things. Goodluck everyone.
