it depends on your boss and your work completely. i gave a 6 month notice to my job and they are very supportive and are letting me work until the day i need to leave. it seems they were happy they got my notice so far in advance. so that they are able to hire ans train someone before I am gone. Giving your notice is a tricky situation for sure!
that's what my web advisor said on 3/2/2012 but i didn't get my email until yesterday afternoon, and i saw someone else got their email on Sunday. I think they are running a little slow on getting all of the emails out, as it comes from the head of your department. So I'm sure you are truly accepted Congrats!
From last years forum it looked like u of washington started to get back to people late February/ Early march. SO hopefully we will hear something soon!
I heard back from Iowa on 2/7 via phone, for sculpture though.. not sure about painting tho. I do know that they are meeting today about funding for all art departments. Goodluck!
You can submitt your FAFSA with every school that you applied to (it think there is a limit of 10). then when a school accepts you they can pull up your FAFSA. They say you want to have it done by MARCH 1st, or your financial aid may be awarded late
I believe that they actually dont have printmaking as a major for graduate level, but you can take courses and use the facilities as a graduate student. So you would still be able to do printmaking while getting your MFA in Painting and Drawing. The program seems to strive for interdisciplinary work so im sure they would love if you worked in both paiting and drawing as well as printmaking. I applied to University of Washington as well. Good Luck!
