  1. FInally! Received the acceptance from GPPI via email yesterday (submitted on 17th January) but wait listed at McDonough for MBA (I'm a dual degree applicant)
  2. SIPA's loss! I emailed GPPI on 1st March and they replied: "Your application has been sent to the admissions committee and you should be expecting a response within the next 2-4 weeks. You will receive a response regarding the admission decision. Please be patient with us as we are dealing with a high volume of applicants this year."
  3. I visited Fels couple of weeks back - they said decisions will be released on 15th March...
  4. Don't worry monad0211 - I have heard that applications are evaluated on a rolling basis. I am also waiting to hear from GPPI, I met someone on another forum (another dual degree applicant, like us) who received an offer last Wednesday... I went to the Business School last week (my second degree is MBA) and they were saying that there is no decision cut off date at GPPI..
  5. @inkzheng I'm an international applicant, didn't receive anyinterview request form... It seems plausible that they sent it out to locals..
  6. Don't fret over checking the FLAS check box... They haven't sent out decisions to anyone yet. Lets stay hopeful
  7. That's odd... I'm glad it's settled. btw I never received any interview mail but admissions team acknowledged that the application is complete. This waiting game is very hard...
  8. So I hear from the business school (I'm a dual degree applicant), invited for an interview but no word from PPI...
  9. Interesting... How was your interview sprinkled.sentiments, have you received the decision yet?
  10. @daphnesun: Are you sure International Applicants are placed in a separate pool? I would imagine that international students cases are more time sensitive considering visa process and logistics... why would universities delay their process?
  11. Thank you BigFaunt for the reply. Fels MPA is my top choice and I am eagerly awaiting to hear from the school!
  12. Fels is my top choice! I applied on 17th January (deadline was extended because of MLK Day). I have heard that the application volume has risen this year, more than the school anticipated.. so expect tougher competition (for the 30-35 spots in the full time program) and perhaps a delayed decision announcement... Re interviews, I think an interview is mandatory for the executive applicants only, From website: (http://www.fels.upenn.edu/admissions) "Personal Interview - All executive applicants are required to meet with us in person. Interviews are not required for full-time applicants; however, full-time applicants may request an interview."
  13. Has anyone here applied for a dual degree (at Georgetown)?
  14. Hi BigFaunt, I've applied to Fels for Fall 2012, specifically interested in the program because of its focus on local government issues and elective politics orientation. As an international applicant, I'm concerned that the curriculum might be very US centric...what has been your experience to date? (in terms of curriculum, faculty exposure and class experience). Also do you think that the practical approach of the school may serve as a disadvantage to an applicant who decides to pursue a PhD later? Thanks.
