I agree with most of this but I think rent is closer to 140 pounds a week rather than per month. College accommodation probably starts around 80 pounds per week minimum.

Michigan sounds ideal as you could do the joint PhD in Political Science/Public Policy = One of the top departments for American politics + one of the top departments for public policy (ford school)

Random question, trying to gauge what the usual amount of contact is with faculty/students after receiving an offer? From 2 schools I received emails from 1 POI whereas from another I have received emails from three faculty members and a student. Just wondering.

It refers to teaching loads and the amount of classes taught each semester.

I don't know but did you not fill one out straight after you submitted the application (in that separate financial application that was linked to after you submitted your application). Or is this different?
