  1. I will also be attending the master's program in Statistics. I would be happy to make friends!
  2. My SUNet account got approved. But I still do not know where to accept the offer. Is anyone having the same problem?
  3. It's pending for me as well... Are you going to accept it?
  4. If you take 10 units of courses a quarter, then it's $8940 a quarter. It should then take five quarters to finish the degree, which is about 45k. I also think 33k is an overestimate of living expenses. If you live in a double room and the housing will cost $7600 for a full year and 10k for five quarters. http://www.stanford.edu/dept/rde/shs/pdfs/grad_rates_11.pdf And Assume that you cook very often, then you can probably keep the food cost under $6000 for five quarters. Then we add the health insurance and other costs, we can probably keep the total cost under 23k for 5 quarters. Plus 45k for tuition, then it should be approximately 68k. I personally think that it's a reasonable amount for a master's program.
  5. Ah I totally missed that part in the email. Just closed the window when I saw "Congratulations". Hehe. Thanks!
  6. Congratulations! I am also planning to go to the Stanford program. I just have a question. Where did you hear about the 20-student class size?
  7. I got into the master's program in Statistics in UW Seattle and PhD program in Statistics in UC Davis. Where should I go? I know that UW is a better school, but is it worth it? Thanks a lot for your advice!
