  1. I will be getting my MS in Statistics from Stanford. I grew up in the Midwest US and go to school in the Northeast. I can't wait to get there! See everyone in the fall!
  2. I visited Florida and got an email about where their graduates are placed academically (this list goes back to 2005): Prof at Oregon State Postdoc at Yale Postdoc at European Bioinformatics Institute Prof at WPI Prof at West Virginia University Prof at University of Iowa Prof at University of Iowa Prof at Iowa State University Prof at Valencia College (Orlando) Prof at Louisianna Lafayette Prof at LSU Biostat Prof at Nebraska Prof at Sookmyung Women's University in South Korea Postdoc at Harvard Department of Health Care Policy Prof at Medical College of Georgia Prof at U of Florida Biostats Prof at University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguezri Prof at Missoui Prof at Michigan State Prof at Duke Postdoc at UCLA biostats I really liked the school and it was my second choice but I got into my top so I will not be going there. I would assume OSU is the same. I hope this helps!
  3. I'm going next year for sure now. The SUNet ID thing was annoying as I had to call into the help desk to get it activated (I also created it on Thursday and called on Monday). You also can't see the "Graduate admissions" link until a few hours after your SUNet ID is approved so be aware. See you all this fall!!!
  4. Thanks. They did give me a student ID which is good. It's just people reporting to get in with GPAs .3 below their average and the sheer number of accepted students who posted in the results survey has me worried. Also the accepted person who wrote "ad = rej" in the notes seemed like something fishy. I guess I'll call in the morning to make sure but your post will help me sleep tonight at least .
  5. Does anyone find it suspicious that everyone that has heard from Stanford Statistics Master's has gotten in. There's 10+ people who have posted that they have gotten in (including me) and it makes me a little suspicious about the letter. Not to mention that they are only expecting an incoming class of 20. It seems like it's the most consecutive acceptances reported from any school so far. Anyone else have similar sentiments? Am I just super paranoid? It's my dream school and would be such a soul crushing moment to have it taken away...
