I applied there too for Photomedia. I haven't heard back yet from them either. From the search results on here it looks like first week of March they send out results
I keep reading Wikipedia pages on my top choice school's town, looking at apartment prices and lusting after the local restaurants on Yelp. Ugh! This is torture waiting!
Aw. I work full time and can't afford the time off to travel, going east to west coast for me. I wanted someone to tell me all about it
I have some friends who applied but hadn't heard anything back yet from Oregon, so I am assuming that means we are in a good position for acceptance. Not so good for my buddies though
I want to give some information that I got from my University of Oregon interview from this weekend. The departments for the MFA are starting to become more intermingled and it is an overall graduate faculty decision for who is getting in. My work consists of a lot of sculptural sets and dioramas so the sculptural/3D people were interested in me too. Informal interviews seem to be given on the weekend to people, not sure how outside of Photography applications it is going, I spoke towards the Photo department. They are able to guarantee 6 terms of the 9 for the graduate teaching fellowship for accepted students.
I asked when acceptance information would be given and was told not until the start of March at the earliest. So I get to sit worrying for another 3 weeks.
Just got an email from University of Oregon wanting to talk to me on the weekend about the Photography program. I'm at work when I got it, I had to leave to get air being so excited.
I replied that I was in New England area and may not have power or cell reception, but the best day was Sunday. Oh god please let me have cell reception on Sunday
