  1. Here is an example of what some of us would like to do upon getting rejection letters: _____________________________________ April 29, 1998 Herbert A Millington Chair - Graduate Studies Committee Whatsa Matta University College Hill, MA 01610 Dear Professor Millington, Thank for your letter of April 16. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me admission to your department. This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field of candidates it is impossible for me to accept all refusals. Despite W.M.U.'s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at this time. Therefore, I will join the ranks of graduate students in your department this September. I look forward to seeing you then. Best of luck in rejecting future applicants. Sincerely, [your name here]
  2. thanks! i'm from the south, so boston was probably going to be too cold for me anyway. Good luck to you too!!
  3. Snail mail rejection from MassArt. I figured it was coming since i didn't get invited for an interview. Hopefully, all the other east coast schools will take a hint from them and let me know their decisions soon.
  4. If I was within driving distance to campus, i would be on my way now. Why would anyone pass up a chance to hobnob with people who could further your career as an artist? Or talk to the people who have the deciding power of your application?
  5. Call them and make sure, if they don't have it see if you can email them a copy until an official one gets there. I had to do that to two schools (afterward I actually found out the registrar never sent ANY of them in the first place.) But emailing them one should buy you some time to get an official one sent their way.
  6. you want to go to philly anyway!!!! Just talked to Tyler and Rutgers about my incomplete application status' online, both are false. Both applications are complete and under review. No more trusting the online application status for me. Congrats to all who heard good news today.
  7. That is what happened to me during my SFAI interview. My interviewer said there was a spot waiting for me if I wanted it. And then spent the rest of the scheduled time telling me why they were the perfect fit for me and how much I would love San Francisco.
  8. I applied for sculpture at Rutgers, but have not heard anything. There are a few that have heard from them, but I'm not certain of their concentration.
  9. I have heard from applicants last year, that MICA offers the same post-bacc program as SAIC. I'm not too sure about the details about it, I just remember that she thought she was accepted to the MFA program, but was really accepted to the post-bacc program. A good option for those who are dead set on going to MICA. Also, have any of the people that have heard from Tyler been applying for sculpture?
  10. Im new here. Been stalking this site for a while now. I actually appreciated asu's "deny letter" didnt even have to open and read it. Is it just me but i've heard from all my schools from out west, but not a peep from anything on the eastern front? Is this a trend?
