after going through some more posts, I realized that the receipt of many ppl's email acceptance letters are widely varied

this particular program accepts about 3 students per year out of more than 100 applicants.... and I don't have a particular POI. i wrote about my interested research areas relating to several professors. I didn't make contact with the professors at all...

The other person received it via email... lol and I still didn't get an email yet..

I didn't hear back from this university, but somebody on the forum posted acceptance yesterday. Does this mean that I didn't get in? Likely?
