Has anyone heard from VCU's sculpture department yet?

Hi! I just heard back from UW-Madison, and it seems that they have admitted me as a 'Performance/Intermedia' student, and not for 'Printmaking' which is what I applied for. I think this could be a good thing since I work between disciplines, but I am concerned about access to facilities. Does anyone know what this programme is about? I can't seem to find any information online, and though I have contacted the school, I would love to know more from a student or anyone who knows something about it Also, thank you Kafralal! Good luck with your applications! AND good luck to everyone who is waiting on a response/waiting for their interview! This forum has been such a great resource, especially as an international student with little/no direct access these universities.

Click on the application itself, open application, and then there should be a status update at the top.

I received my acceptance package my mail this Saturday, so I would advise you to give the department a call!!

oh gosh my interview is tomorrow/today !!! Does anyone have any tips, tricks or pointers? I'm also presenting an art object to a make-believe audience for a few minutes as part of my interview.

Okay so I just got an email a few minutes ago and it said that I am still being considered for a position and that they will let me of the hiring committee's decision by the 21st of March. Did anyone receive a final decision?

Did anyone receive an email today about the interviews?

I haven't and I gave in and called and was met with a very surly response :/ I suppose I have to wait.

so, after being picked as a finalist is there another round of selection, after which one gets called to an interview? I'm anxious :/

basically, if they were unable to pick someone from the finalists for whatever reason.

A wait-list would mean that if an applicant who was interviewed and selected decided to turn the position down, or just did not pass the interview round, they would contact the next round of applicants on a wait-list.

I applied for the summer internship in the textiles department and I picked the product development dept. as my 2nd option. I just graduated this december with a BFA from a very small school in Columbus, Ohio and that is a relief because then perhaps, it is based on merit rather than the prestige attached to one's school.

I just got an email informing me that I am now a finalist. But it also says that they will notify me by the 13th of this month in case I need to attend an interview. So I don't know how many levels I need to pass yet :/ Oh and this is for the summer internship
