  1. Spitts77, I feel the same way. But then, sometimes our applications isn't able to tell a complete story. Think about it: if they had given u $10k a year, would you go? If so, maybe, now we have an opportunity to make use of the HKS opportunity and perhaps, make much more than $20k savings over a few years. But yes, I am struggling with the decision-making as well. I think if I deferred and got considered for finaid next year, chances of funding are much better. Good Luck!
  2. Congratulations to both of you! I'd greatly appreciate if you could share your backgrounds with us. Thanks much! And, good luck with an amazing program ahead of you!
  3. Hey Scotty, Good Luck! Am in similar KSG seat but for MPA. I am an International myself and am worried that if I were to return to Asia, it will take me forever, if at all, to pay back the loans. Don't want a dream (KSG) to hinder choice of actions later (because of financial obligation). Hopefully, April 3rd will be a good day for all of us.
  4. interesting! i also got into chicago AM and KSG MPA2. will u be visiting harris next week? good luck with your decisions!
  5. i got into the MA program in the Harris School at UChicago. Thankfully, they offered me financial aid too. I could not find much information about it in the forum. I applied because the 1-yr MA program is meant for advanced degree-holders. (http://harrisschool.uchicago.edu/Progra ... ers/am.asp). i have a phd in EE and want to move towards public administration/management. anyone has some information about the reputation, more details or after-Harris experience. thanks for your help.
  6. I got into UChicago Harris School's 1-year MA in Public Policy program with almost-full scholarship. If you are familiar with the program, could you please shed some light on how this program rates? I applied liking the fact that it was one year and meant for those with advanced degrees such as MD, JD, MBA, and PhD. (http://harrisschool.uchicago.edu/Progra ... ers/am.asp) I have a PhD in EE myself and now am trying to do policy+technology. Thank much! Good Luck with your decisions!
