I think BUffalo is the better choice. It is ranked better but also living expenses in the Buffalo area are extremely cheap. I will be attending Buffalo this Fall for their CHE PhD program
I think you're worrying a bit too much about her question man. She isnt going to ask you "What do you want your thesis to be on?".. at least not so soon! Just answer geniunely what you find interesting. Base your answer off your research experience as an ungergrad particularly since you will be more well versed in that subject matter. Also you can probably just rephrase whatever it is you said in your statement of purpose too.
Hello everyone! So I applied to a total of 11 different schools for the Chemical Engineering PhD program back in January and the last one at Feb. 1st but I have only heard back from four so far! I've gotten one acceptance (with funding) and three rejections. So basically I have not heard anything what so ever from the remaining seven Universities. I think this is really odd because I know fairly sure that I was at least rejected from my undergraduate University since they have already accepted two former undergrads (which was the limit they were shooting for as confirmed through my research professor) so why havent they just rejected me already? It seems like all of my required materials have been received but all of these schools have just been very silent. I'm concerned since the April 15th deadline is fast approaching and I have yet to hear back from many schools (including my top choice). :[
What do you think?
I applied to GaTech this past January for the Chemical Engineering PhD program and I have not heard back from them either yet so I would not worry too much about it.
