I'd go with Syracuse. If this were law school or business school then going with prestige could make a big difference - but this is education school.

Ha, John Harvard's is where both the Harvard and Stanford meetups were set when I was applying to those schools almost a decade ago. It seems to be the standard for meeting up.

HGSE finally gave me access to the matriculation website today. On the student directory, it says: "As an admitted student, you have the option of sharing your contact information with other admitted students by checking off the appropriate box on the online response form" Can someone tell me where this online response form is found?

When I read what Sonic Youth wrote, I did not in any way get that she was saying that the reason to get a degree is to earn more money, or that finances were the sole deciding factor as to the value of the degree.

Why is it bull? Harvard is in the business of making money, not charity.

Based on the financial aid packages they've offered the past two years, all I have to say is don't expect much. You're going to be expected to pay for most of it.

The class of 2013 has a closed group that was set up by one of the admits. 425 members, and I assume I'm the only one who isn't actually a member of the class. I don't believe the school ever set up a group.

I rather not say on these forums. If Harvard doesn't let you defer you can always reapply this year. They would probably love that.

I requested a deferral in 2011. They denied my request. So I reapplied in 2012, and then again asked for a deferral. That time they accepted my request. But I had some pretty legit reasons to defer.

Yes, I am. I'm a holdover from 2011 & 2012. I'm excited to finally attend this year.
