I'm in Chicago today, going to be helping facilitate workshops at CAA2014. Kinda frustrated because Northwestern and UIC are high on my list and I don't have interviews and wasn't invited to that visit weekend. I went to the aquarium by myself and watched the beluga whales. I think it's really important to take your mind off of this all if you can, especially with all the bad news we've been having.

Seriously? Yeah, it'd be slightly annoying, but I think I'd much rather get into graduate school if I get an interview than throw a tantrum over something so petty and kill any chance of being admitted to the program.

Anywhere that puts me up with someone else without telling me explicitly first gets me walking out the door, them paying for it, and me talking shit about them to every person I can find.

Umm... my thesis is halfway done, honey. I need an editing service to ensure that it's well written. My adviser left me by saying that I had one of the best and most passionate topics. She simply said that she had "prior commitments."

Based upon your previous threads about choosing a thesis topic on firstly "Rebutting Ann Coulter" then "Islam & Woman", it sounds like you didn't really know (i) what would make an appropriate thesis topic (ii) how to go about writing a comparative literature thesis (i.e, that it needs to be based off a few pieces of primary literature). You were also changing your mind pretty quickly about what you wanted to write.
 
I can imagine that if your advisor thought you were ill-prepared to write a thesis he might have second thoughts about advising you. 

I'm not 100% sure on this, but perhaps the online system takes a day or two to process the submission of materials?  Northwestern's status check website gave a similar message (it said my application was "incomplete" even though everything was submitted on time).
