Bumping this topic. I'm in the same boat -- trying to decide between Medill & CUNY. I want to visit both, but can only visit one (Medill) due to cost. I know that Medill carries a lot of name recognition, but CUNY continues to impress me. Both schools have offered scholarships, but CUNY would be about $15,000 cheaper in the end. Has anyone visited CUNY's J-School and have anything to add? Thanks so much in advance!

Thanks for bumping! I've been waitlisted at my top choice school, and they said that spots can become available anytime between May 20 and the first week of classes. That said, would be it be helpful to send a letter to the department about my continued interest in the program this early in the game? It would be great to get some advice from those who've experienced being taken off a waitlist.
