Hi leesta, Are you going to accept at UW? I am on their wait list and they are my first choice. I am really hoping to hear something next week....

I applied to four programs. I was waitlisted at 3/4 schools and I haven't heard anything from Northridge. I just found out yesterday about being rejected off the wait list for U of Maryland. So that leaves waiting on two schools about their waitlists and a first announcement from Northridge. I see the remaning schools you're waiting on are all from California. I don't know if it's typical for Cali schools to announce so late but it's horrible. With that said, I am in the same boat as you. This waiting game is awful....not knowing when a decision will arrive, not being able to prepare and plan for a move....I hope those of us hanging will get good news next week after the 15th. Hi niccig: Thanks so much for sharing this info. I am about ready to pull my hair out over this waiting game. Being waitlisted at all my other schools and then not knowing anything from Northridge is not a fun position to be in. Not sure if school will work out for me this year.....

Has anyone heard from Cal State Northridge? The department told me they were hoping to get acceptances out this week and now it's come and gone.

I go on to the Results Survey all the time throughout the day hoping to see others get accepted off of the waitlists (3/4 of schools) I'm on but nothing yet. I was hoping I wouldn't have to wait until the 15th, but I suppose that's how it's going to be. Absolutely maddening! The sense of the subjectivity and randomness of it all drives me crazy. The not knowing of when the news will come..... When I was MUCH younger, my boyfriend went into the military and was sent overseas. He couldn't make phone calls. I would religiously watch the mailbox everyday anxiously waiting for a letter, desperate to hear any news from him. Now that I am 42 (yikes) I never thought I'd feel 18 again! It feels exactly the same......of course things didn't work out with that boyfriend so I am hoping for a better outcome with this situation. Sometimes when you think you're so sure of something, life sends you in a different direction. So I am trying not to be so rigid in my thinking. Hoping for what I want but knowing I need to be flexible too in case that doesn't come to fruition. I'm glad I'm not the only one in this boat! Good luck to all!

Hello everyone! Does anyone have any "happy ending" stories about being accepted off a waitlist? I sure could use one! I am waitlisted at 3/4 schools I applied to (U of Maryland, U of Washington, San Diego State). I am waiting to hear back from the last school about my status (Cal State Northridge). Northridge claims they announce the first week of April. Is it typical for schools to wait until April 15th to make another round of cuts? I will need to relocate for all of these schools. Considering I have a husband, a child in elementary school, and a house to deal with I am freaking out about the longer it takes for a decision, the shorter the time I have to uproot my life. I was hoping to have known two months ago!
