How is everyone's university handling the travel allowance? I was under the impression that it would be deposited into my account, but my university is trying to treat it like a conference travel payment (i.e. save receipts the whole time I'm gone and then get reimbursed) which is going to be extremely difficult/inconvenient.

Good to know. Last year the date seemed to vary by country - did he say whether that would happen again this year? I'm really glad I didn't apply to leave in June!
