I hope you're right. Nothing would make my day (and month better than a positive notification form Fulbright!

I wanted to think that we should hear tomorrow since it's the last day of the month....but I'm hesitant to say that since we've been disappointed so much already...So I'll be optimistic while cautious about my expectations.

You are so right! It is definitely preparing us to control our "instant gratification" behaviors. LOL at "Reeeee-Fresh!!!" This is soo me.

I had to respond to my graduate program today and I'm hoping I've turned them down for a Fulbright Award.

Thanks for sharing. Now that I know time is near, I'm getting nervous all over again. Let's keep the faith!

I was accepted to a PhD program for counseling psychology. I want to defer because I am awaiting notification to see if I will receive a Fulbright award. I have to respond to the admissions offer by Monday but may or may not get word from Fulbright next week. If I get the Fulbright, I'll have a good excuse to defer and will take the Fulbright and start the PhD program next year. (This school permits deferrals for special circumstances and I'm sure Fulbright will count) Even if I don't get the Fulbright, I still want to defer but I don't know if deferring to work (get some experience and hone my practical skills) is a good enough excuse. This is my main concern. How do I furnish this request? I don't know how to inquire about deferring. I want them to know that I'm serious about the program. Any thoughts?

So for the Central America/Caribbean people I emailed Pam and this was her response today at 3:43pm. Hi XXXXXXX, I am hoping notifications will go out sometime next week. Still waiting for final approval from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Best, Pam

Same here. I was accepted to a PhD program and have to respond by the 16...This wait is too difficult.
