I was accepted to Rutgers as well! This is all so unnerving.

Holy crapoly - just got accepted at Harvard with a VERY generous package! AGH this is the weirdest moment of my life. Harvard AND Yale AND Berkeley??? I know, I know, I'm insanely lucky - but my mother never graduated high school! I've live on 7.00 an hour for the better part of my adult life! WHAT IS THIS INSANITY????

Pills definitely grew up on me. I just don't think it should've been a single. My favorite thing about Pinkprint though is Nicki really digging back into her rap roots. I may not love all the songs, but she goes hard on pretty much all of them, and I dig that. It's also, as she has said in interviews, her most personal album. And I think that really comes through in a lot of the songs with talking about the break up, the abortion she had when she was younger, etc.
 
(and I mostly just like to pretend Chris isn't there lol)

It's too bad they just wanted a chance to pump Dre's Pill speakers or whatever it was... which they did in the Anaconda vid as well. Definitely glad she's back to her rap roots too. I really was hoping that Reloaded would sound like Roman in Moscow because that would've been amazing (still not sure why that single was inexplicably cut from the album either).

I liked the Pinkprint quite. There are definitely some songs I could do without, and I don't understand who was in charge of determining the singles because I think there are far better songs on the album than Bed of Lies of Pills N Potions.

What a great game. I didn't care who won: I just wanted a good, close game. And that's what we got. My jaw dropped several times in the last sixty seconds. That catch! That interception! That fight!

Still, let's be honest here. The real winner last night was Missy and all her damn fierceness. #getyourfreakon

I refuse to believe that person said that with any sincerity. They must be trolling... which is particularly nasty considering the tense atmosphere at this point! 
 
Or perhaps I just can't comprehend someone writing that about themselves unless they looked like this...
 

This thread is making me teary-eyed guys.  Glad I ended up on GC--better late than never!  CONGRATS to everyone.  Ya'll are wicked smart and impressive!!!!!!
 
Since we're sharing good news, I just got accepted at Chicago for political theory, and I'm so eager to see how the application fares at the rhetoric programs I applied to

Unless you get an official rejection, I'd say there's still cause to hold out hope. I know it probably takes a while for our DGS to get in touch with everyone (he's a busy dude haha), and as allplaideverything said, he likely is contacting the fellowship folks first. I think I mentioned on one of the threads that I feel like rejections went out within a couple weeks of acceptances last year, so I feel like everybody should have some idea of where they stand with OSU relatively soon. As opposed to some other schools where it gets dragged out forever (I even had one school that never notified me of anything last year lol. Good times).

I got into Berkeley too. *total shock* With a "prestigious fellowship nomination," and basically the same (quite warm, but form) letter that unræd got. I can't even believe it.

Also, I woke up this morning to an acceptance to UW Madison for Comp Lit, there were literally tears of joy and relief as I showered, had breakfast and cycled to work. Who knew six o'clock could bring so much joy?

Delurking after oh gosh it's been years and multiple admissions seasons of reading this forum: hi all! I'm one of the SUNY Buffalo poetics folks! And would love to talk to the other two....

This is not related to acceptances and rejections, but I won a prize at my school today! For "exceptional academic excellence in the English department." And a friend of mine says his faculty mentor told him that this particular prize can really be a leg up during admissions to my department's graduate program, which is my first choice, so... fingers crossed?! I hope I hope. I would withdraw all my other apps if I got in and got funded, I don't even CARE that it's less fancy to stay at the same institution for undergrad and grad school.
 
I think I'm going to use the money to fund my trip to Glasgow for the conference I got accepted to. I have to say, I wish I'd won all these things BEFORE I submitted my applications! 

I just received an email from the DGS  - accepted to University of Louisville! They're also nominating me for a university fellowship.

"High on wait list" at USC. Just got the call! <dying of happiness> Hoping other USC applicants on TGC hear the same!
 
Edit: Was too high on adrenaline after hanging up to remember to add: this is my FIRST CHOICE so I'm ECSTATIC. Also, I posted undergrad GPA as 4.0 but that's my MA GPA.

This month I've had a few conference acceptances/conference related things occur so yesterday I decided to at least try and email programs to request that a note be added to my CV/Application. Inadvertently, I realized that this was also a less nosey way of getting some info on decision making timelines. 
 
For example:
U Michigan said the committee was too far along to add any info.
UCSB said "Done!"
WashU said: Added, and also: we will begin notifying applicants next week.
 
So: there's that FWIW

I just got a call from the DGS, so I'm sure he's making his calls now and you will hear soon! 
 
Nominated for two fellowships. As presented, it is a first-year fellowship upwards of $20,000 with no teaching responsibilities. After that, the department would fund me at around $16,000 per year with a 1-1 teaching load (I'm coming in with an MA, so he said 4-5 years). 
 
He also said the university will cover $250 toward visiting their open house.

Yeah I still have all my old emails, and Dr. Garcha notified me about the fellowship nom when he called me. Then I received email confirmation of the nom about a week or so later (early February). And then I received an email notifying me that I'd actually been awarded the email at the beginning of March. And then the Open House was toward the end of March, and I personally confirmed my decision to attend OSU within like two days of attending the Open House. I really, really loved the Open House lol.
