Even if you have stuff to do, you are too distracted too. I cant focus at all.
-
Well, I emailed her the other day. I wont ask outright. I dont actually think they are supposed to be telling us.
-
My FPA wont tell me!
-
I had a margarita at lunch, I thought it would help. Instead, i am back in lab more angry.
-
I dont think so, they are supposed to wait. Ugh, if they dont do it today, I am going crazy!
-
Jokes on them, they have to send roughly 10,000 emails in about 3 hours!
-
I am reading a really long textbook and I get about two sentences and then I check my email again. Ughghghghgh!
-
I had a similar dream last year, I realized I was dreaming when I couldnt read the email. Or I could only read some of it. Its a little disappointing when you wake up.
-
I hoping that it starts around 9 am. Its like bandaid, lets get it off quick! Good luck to everyone!
-
Honestly, who will sleep well tonight?!?!
-
Go to sleep, the rest of us will stress another 6 hours. You can take the morning shift!

Those Fulbright people are tricksters!
-
Holy crap, i just looked at a few numbers and estimated. That is a lot of people!
-
They dont know about this forum or are ignoring it. Ignorance is bliss!
-
Estimating that 4000 - 5000 total people applied to all the Fulbright grants. That many people are sitting and waiting. Or maybe half doesnt know the exact date it is coming......
-
Nope, already checked! Lol.
-
I just imagined tweek saying that...

I dont think crazy is the word, like I said the Whitaker application is just as bad as the Fulbright. So technically I have applied 4 times! I would keep applying, but I am planning to graduate within the next 1-2 years so time is running out. If nothing else, I have learned a lot about myself that I would have never figured out if not for this fellowship application. Also, I have been able to communicate with people I would have never done normally. I guess finding the silver lining is how I am approaching the notifications.
-
I wonder if the Fulbright people know about this forum. Do they see how crazy we get around the time announcements are made??!?!?
-
Wow, you are very persistent. I really hope you get it, this is my second time. I am also doing the Whitaker which is a Fulbright for biomedical engineers. Each application takes a lot out of you.

Agree, I would also say him not wearing shoes is a statement in itself. In my line of research, you dont wear shoes, you might lose a toe. Although a heated debate at this hour may cause a revolution.
-
Yes, it was my email, so I can confirm. Randomly, it looks like I got two emails, one at 6:51 and one at 7:30pm. I have no idea why.
-
Last year emails came at 7:30pm, I was in Philly when it happened! Was in class and didnt know this forum existed. It happened like a nice surprise. Now, I sit hear waiting, waiting and waiting.

We set a date for August 2014, already have the place booked, dress bought, save the dates designed, etc. So whatever happens next year, we are getting married. You gotta follow your dream though. I dont want to have a regret ten years from now and blame my fiance.

I was an alternate last year, told the SO, I am applying again. He was not happy, but still gave me a ring. He will not be coming with me though. Gotta make decisions for you, at least that is what I tell myself.
