  1. Question to those of you who will be accompanied by a dependent . . . The medical forms state that "if accompanied by dependents we recommend that they recieve medical clearance, as well." Does this imply that Fulbright is asking for this information, or that it may be a requirement to attain a visa? If it's required by Fulbright, would my husband need to fill out the same medical forms as me? And where would this "medical clearance" be sent to?
  2. Hey AFX^79 Sorry to hear this, but you should still be proud that you made it this far!!! Atleast your an alternate, which means there is still a possibility for you. Good luck and please post if you end up getting selected.
  3. Thanks for the tip. I am anxious to find out what city I will be placed in, but it sounds like I may have to wait a bit for that info to come through. Most importlantly is that we know we got it already, so that's what counts!
  4. Yes, most definitely, I would be happy to help! I have never been to Venezuela, but my step brother lived there and really loved it. I am excited to expereince the beautiful country.
  5. I was selected for a ETA to Venezuela!!! I am very excited and still in shock! For those who have already been selected, when do you hear what the next steps are? Or how long it takes to get the letter from the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board?
  6. Yes, I hope so. I had gotten my hopes up for this week though. My friend who got a Fulbright last year said she met quite a few people who didn't hear until June, I am really hoping this doesn't happen to us. Staying positive for next week . . .
  7. Venezuela was supposed to be notified by "the end of this month," but I am starting to loose hope . . . I feel like there is no end in sight!!
  8. Hi AFX^79- I guess you it's just the two of us on here then (you are the other person I was thinking of). My preference would be Merida or Caracas, rather than Maracaibo. However, I am really open and mostly hoping to work with youth. What about you? The count down begins, 7 weekdays until the end of the month (I don't know if they send out notifications during the weekend). So I hope we will know very soon!
  9. Hey there! I also applied for an ETA in Venezuela (I believe there is one other person on this thread as well). I e-mailed Jody at the beginning of the month and asked her when she suspected we would know. She said "Hopefully by the end of this month." I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next week, but sounds like it's no guarantee:( I am sure you could e-mail her again and ask for an update on the date. If you do, please share her response:)
  10. Hi All! I am new here. I was selected as a finalist for an ETA in Venezuela. Does anyone know the usually timeline for the selection process for this country? Also how do I find the spread sheet that people are referring to?
