As I understand it, the hope is that we will for sure find out this week... ...however, it is possible that it could extend beyond this week, next week...etc, at this point I just 'lol.' I'm not calling anyone else, emailing anyone else--nothing! It is out of everyone's hands except those good old folks in DC. Poor Jermaine sounds so distraught right now and really remorseful. I mean, I feel sorry for everyone else (myself included), but this is really out of his hands and he is doing as much as he can to get the final approval. I think for him and the SSA region, he feels this is pushing beyond his 'ideal' notificaiton period. I wish you all the best, good luck to everyone! Take care! This is an excellent lesson for me in control and patience (I better stop typing before I get all philosophical).

For some reason, his response literally made me 'lol'... I mean, there are only 10 days left in the month and a few of those days are weekends. It is either next week, or next month. I know he is in a tough position because he said he wanted them to be out by this week...or, that is what he indicated a while back. Slowly but surely it has been creeping back ( :: starts rolling back in chair :: )--just like this. It is all out of his hands (and certainly ours), for now. And I just have to say for the record--Jermaine is an incredibly nice guy and very generous with whatever info he has. What can we do, but relax on cruise control until they come out. We also 'hope' we are able to know until the end of the month. But if not, lol, what can we do? The decisions have been made, nothing else we can do at this point!

I was thinking about this, too. Well, not about a rejection so much, but about how we will be notified. It seems that most people for the region have historically been notified by letter. It could be that this year, they send emails, maybe...? Who knows! In any case, hopefully some people will hear back today. You folks try to enjoy your weekend and have some fun!

I'm thinking and hoping we will hear back next week. Another post said he'll be back in Friday...but the office is saying he'll be back in on Monday. Actually, I was told to send him an email and that he might have some sort of helpful information or new piece of information. Considering I spoke with him two weeks ago via email, I don't think I'm going to email him again. The tension I was feeling about this week is pretty much gone (hey, believe it or not, lol)--and I really enjoy the feeling of not being completely consumed by uncertainty. Who knows, maybe they are going to shoot them out all day on Friday. At this point for me, a 'yes' is less important than just knowing something one way or the other.

Sub-Saharan Africa Folks: I don't know when we will be hearing, so perhaps I shouldn't say anything. In any case, I tried calling and it is fairly safe to say we won't be hearing until after Jermaine Jones returns, at the earliest. I believe he is out of the country at the moment. We could hear before then, who knows (stranger things have happened, I'm sure). Granted, I'm sure many of you have already accepted this fact I still wanted to share what I could find. :: breaks down :: :: cries :: Why can't we just know, now? SSA, is taking way too long. I'll probably vanish once I find out. But, for now, I just had to break the silence. I have enough obligations with digital communities, I can't have another--lol. I was told, we should know around this week (that was the beginning of April). I wish we could just know that it *isn't* coming this week. The uncertainty is what kills people. Its not coming next week? Fine! At least if they were clear, we can go have good times living it up all week until next week when we are checking phones, refreshing the forum or refreshing email!!! Ok.
