okay, so i know i have a really small chance of getting the grf, but i was so anxious about hearing back that i don't know what to do with myself until then. except distract myself. a lot.
how sad.
it says so on the website when you check you app status.
2009 Application Package Status for [blargh]
Status will be updated daily after 2AM.
of course i'm not for sure; i was just suggesting it might be a possibility.
so apparently the "status" of the application (well, whether it's complete) is updating at 2 am (i'm guessing either eastern or pacific?)
maybe they will magically put up the results then.
i do know someone who got an nsf with a relatively low gpa. last year i got HM and i only have a 3.0 gpa (although from a school with low grade inflation) it really depends on your potential to be a good scientist i think. which can often be demonstrated by publications, good references, a solid reserach proposal, etc.
hey -
i've been reading all of these posts to keep myself entertained. guess i'll have to actually do work for the rest of the day though as i assume the nsf is a 9-to-5ish kind of place. good luck everyone!
