  1. I haven't heard from Emory at all either.
  2. If you're referring to Notre Dame, yes! It was my first rejection. Heard from them Feb. 13.
  3. Metalogian, I'm pretty sure that's just the name of the program/site they use to accept applications. It's the same system that U.Va, Notre Dame, and Yale use. Possibly others too.
  4. I have heard nothing and am in the same boat but expect a rejection. I'll claim a couple of the result posts as well. Have been rejected at Vanderbilt but waitlisted at PTS. Subfield - Systematic Theology. So... if anyone doesn't want to go for sure, I'd be happy to take your spot. Ha!
  5. Got an email from Yale just now to check website. Expected result, rejected
  6. That's good to know. Unfortunately I'm not in either of those subfields. Ah well, it was just a long shot.
  7. It's possible but I kind of doubt it. Actually, I have it on good authority that all those being offered admission at Yale have already been contacted - I'm just not sure if that is a "first round" or if that's it. And so I wanted to know if the person reporting being admitted off a waitlist was part of this first round or if they are perhaps doing more.
  8. Ahh someone was accepted off a Yale waitlist! I want that ... If that person doesn't mind sharing, were you notified you were on a waitlist prior to receiving the news of being admitted? Or did you just find out you were on the waitlist when you came off of it?
  9. Congrats to the Harvard admit! (Note to others: ... they were notified by POI not via website).
  10. Or not, you know. I can sign in now and there is no new information. Sigh...
  11. Can't sign in to Harvard app... I think that means they're updating! Exciting
  12. Haha... even though I really want this, I sometimes feel eerily calm about it (the whole thing, but rejections in particular). Maybe it's just the way we protect ourselves. Good to know re: Harvard GSAS. I do not expect to get in there but it will be interesting to see if I did.
  13. Sounds like quite the game plan! Good stuff!!
  14. I'm in the same boat ... not accepted, not waitlisted, not (officially) rejected. I haven't contacted my POI but was also considering it. I probably will just wait it out but it looks like sometimes they wait until late March/early April to send out rejections. Let us know if you decide to call!
  15. No but I am frustrated with delays too. Urg.
  16. Just to clarify - I'm not advocating hiding awards! I had just heard that American schools don't "dock" funding for Canadian students holding award but again that was hearsay and perhaps very wrong!
  17. In both of my offer letters thus far it says that they reserve the right to adjust my funding if I receive external awards. I am in the humanities. Mind you, I see you're in California and the schools that have said this to me are Canadian. I know lots of Canadian schools will take internal funding away if you get external but I don't know if they take away the full amount (assuming your external funding matches or exceeds what they were offering) or just part. I have heard - and this is purely hearsay - that because American schools aren't overly familiar with Canadian funding agencies, sometimes they don't bother asking about your other funding and let you hold a Canadian fellowship with internal funding from the American school. Maybe the same applies for Americans coming to Canada? I don't know if that is your situation or not but there are my two cents! No pun intended... although us Canadians did just get rid of our penny this year
  18. I'm a Canadian and I know that some of our SSHRCC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada) fellowships can be taken out of the country (i.e. to the US... I'm going in the opposite direction!). Maybe national funding agencies in the States allow students to take fellowships to Canada? Mind you, the applications for ours had to be done way in advance (i.e. Oct. for the following Sept.). Alternatively, you could sign up for a website like studentawards or something like that, input your criteria, and see if they come up with anything. Best of luck!
  19. I wonder if it's the div school, it says ThD and PhD.
  20. Diazalon, according to your info was it just acceptances that went out Friday? /Do you know if all acceptances went out? I don't see any reported rejections and I haven't heard myself. It looks like in previous years they sent out acceptances and rejections on the same day.
  21. Thanks Cecilia.
  22. Cecilia22, do you know if Vanderbilt's choice to accept no one extends to the whole department or just your subfield, and if just your subfield, which one are you in? Thanks! And sorry to hear about that news. That is brutal.
  23. Congrats to the Yale New Testament admit! I am on pins and needles today!! I applied for the theology track, with religious ethics as a secondary.
  24. Okay, good to know! Thanks! Definitely not looking too good for me then. Oh well...
  25. Kleets712, did you only find out you were waitlisted at U.Va. after contacting your POI, or did they notify you?
