I will be at UWashington. Though I am a bit worried about Seattle rent and the UW stipend, I am greatly looking forward to my time there!
-
Good luck with your application to Warwick! I am currently an MA student there so let me know if you have any questions.
-
Awesome! Congrats
-
In at UW - it was my first choice! So glad that I've got one acceptance under my belt. Now that the fear of across the board rejections is gone the fear of being unprepared is already setting in!
-
Congrats on MSU! Looks like a tough choice between two good schools, normally you can look at weather and location as added factors but not with these two!
-
Has anyone heard anything from USC?
-
Congrats!
-
Yes, congrats! UW is my first choice - being in limbo is driving me crazy. edit: saw my question was answered while I was typing it!

I really hope that Washington isn't done. A POI there emailed me after I had my interview and he said that he would let me know if he hears anything from the Admissions Comittee - seeing as the Committee put him in contact with me I am sure that he is somewhat in the loop. I am very curious about USC though - there seems to be both rejections and acceptances on the board yet I have not heard anything from them.
-
I have contacted both in the past, I have found it to be helpful when narrowing down programs. Some can be very helpful (one recommended a different university which he thought to be a better fit for me and indeed it is!) others have been less helpful. As long as you are sincere in gathering academic information, and not just looking for admissions figures there is no harm in contacting a POI or DGS.

Congratulations! I'll be checking my emails constantly today - I applied for IR/IPE.
-
As has mine, and due to the time difference I wont be going to bed at a reasonable time either!
-
UWashington sent out an acceptance on a Sunday? Can anyone claim this? And congrats to the JHU acceptances!
-
I'll be serving tonight at a Real Ale Festival in the UK - it will certainly be interesting if I get a phone call acceptance from a POI while serving beer!
-
I am not sure what to think about the USC rejections. I have not heard anything so I don't know if it good news or bad that I have been neither accepted nor rejected given that they have sent out acceptances prior to rejections in the past.

Congrats to the Rice and Notre Dame admits!

A few questions from a non-American

First Class Honours (or Distinction at the MA level) in Britain is the equivalent of a 3.7 GPA or higher in the American system. -
I hope you are right about ND. I also think UWashington, Johns Hopkins and USC should be this week as well.
-
RE: The road trip, I have had the exact same plans for a road trip. I have spent my entire life in one state (minus two study years outside the US including now) so I am greatly looking forward to a road trip - finding out where I am accepted makes the planning all the more exciting!
-
Thanks for the info! Congrats on the interview, I got one for UW so I am hoping it is a good sign - though I am a bit dissapointed that I didn't have one for USC.
-
Unfortunately I have yet to hear anything.
-
According to last years' results, USC (Southern California) and Johns Hopkins should be e-mailing acceptances tomorrow. Best of luck to fellow USC and JHU applicants!
-
No worries, just a nerve wracking experience in general! Best of luck with your applications
-
I probably should have asked for more details concerning their timeline but I didn't. The interview went well though and the POI has emailed me quite a bit since which I hope is a good sign.

You have no idea how nervous this made me! I had an interview for UW (University of Washington) two weeks ago, heard from a POI but have not seen any rejections or acceptances on here. Upon seeing 'UW' in the post I assumed Washington had sent out rejections.
