Agh, I kept telling myself that getting another HM wouldn't bother me, but it is I guess the frustrating part was how positive the reviewers were, and how high the grades they gave were. It makes me feel like I must have been right there at the cut-off. I keep having "well if I had only mentioned this.." thoughts running through my head. Ugh. Oh well. p.s. funny that someone a few posts above me addressed the "if only" feelings.. didn't see that!

For those of you who haven't even gotten an email, here's the correct rating sheets link.. although you won't actually be able to login without the username and password you're given in the email! www.nsfgrfp.org/ratingsheets/
-
You have to follow the link in the email. The one on the website doesn't work.

Yeah, this year HM with: VG/E VG/VG E/E Last year HM with VG/VG VG/VG E/E Sooo.. oh well. Who knows. Oddly enough, even though the total number of awards went up to 2000 or whatever, the total number of awards in my division sunk down from 9 to 5.

I think people understand that GRE Writing scores seem to be tallied by disgruntled humanities grad students. I've been told by a few professors in college admissions that they don't really care about your GRE writing score, especially since they have writing samples (in the form of your personal statement, etc.) that tell them a lot more.

I mean this in the most helpful way possible, but at this point even if it were a big deal (which I'm sure it isn't), it would be way too late to actually change anything. You'll find out your award status within the next few days anyways as it is Good luck, and try not to obsess over the little details!

Not to be creepy, but I know who you are! Good luck. Anyway, last year they issued awards during one of these "schedule maintenance" periods in case anyone was wondering.. I have a feeling that this is essentially the same thing. Or.. a hope, at least

HM! But with odd rating sheet results: I got VG/VG/E and VG/VG/E. The only remotely negative comment I have is "Although there are some bumpy spots in his transcript" (referring to a slump I had sophomore year), "the applicant has shown that he has improved and matured". And that was from the guy that gave me the E! So all in all I have no idea what I should focus on differently for next year. Maybe that "bumpy spot" (which isn't even THAT bumpy.. a few B's and a C) is going to ruin me forever.

Yeah, that sort of happened to me as well. Normally it happens if some of the page source is "sent" but not all of it because it times out--i.e. the site is going in and out I suppose.

ugh i really need to sleep--busy day tomorrow. Maybe I'll wake up in the middle of the night. Hopefully it won't be another disappointment good luck everyone!

and there it goes it would seem

If anything we're going to make it go down from continuously refreshing it!

Trying to logon to the rating sheets (or requesting a lost password) goes to a 404 now, rather than going to "Access to rating sheets is now closed". At the very least, it means that they are working on stuff!

Haha, it's frightening to realize that we've repeated that process so many times that it's a well recognized pattern

I'm not sure I agree with you here entirely. Even if they did update us with minute details about their progress, we'd still be sitting here waiting. I'm sure there are a few people here who might be getting haggled by their advisors for updates, but I really doubt the vast majority of us really have any practical reason for knowing whether they are on "Step 2: List is finalized. Need signature." or "Step 3: Signature received. Waiting for mailman."

This year: 1am-3am Friday morning Years past: ~10am-2pm, if I recall correctly. Note: I did not actually verify these things through research, it's just what I remember from other previous posts.

There's always today I guess :|

Excellent. I'm going to wait up until at least midnight, just to see if fastlane actually does go down--perhaps they've retracted their claim as noted by the "original" status on the website.

As someone who checks to see if the "Request lost password" link on the rating sheet page works three times a day: no, it's just been on.
-
The applicant rating sheet page is down!
-
Last night, I had a dream about getting an early look at my rating sheets. Details to follow later.
-
Hah, they've actually changed the notice to "approximately one week".

Important update: The "We have no idea when you'll hear anything" notice is now in a neatly organized box.
