How were you contacted about BC? Just curious because I have been waiting on mine.

I applied to BC, but have yet to hear back. I visited the campus this fall and was blown away..then again.. with tuition as expensive as it is.. they should have a beautiful campus. I am excited to hear back though.

I heard back from UT's MSW program on Monday.

I am waiting to hear back from BC and SDSU. I went to undergrad in Austin at St. Edwards and I love Austin as a city, UT is a beautiful campus and a great school. Do you know how long we have to get back to UT about whether or not we are going? I looked all over the website but didnt find any info.

Just got accepted into The University of Texas at Austin tonight! So excited!

Applications are done! Now just to wait it out...

I know for sure that BC does deferment. I think you just pay a fee to hold your place. I would definitely recommend taking a year or so off.

SDSU is currently my top choice! Just curious if anyone who got in could give me some advice or pointers. I am also curious of how long their application review process takes? Is it rolling admissions? Thanks!

I am also applying there! I dont have much insight other than how beautiful the campus is! I went to visit in October and I was just blown away!

Thanks again. One more quick question. When I asked my prof if she would write me a letter of rec she said "I think your values will be challenged, but you will make a good social worker." Do you think I should find a new prof? Something about that just kind of irked me.

Hey guys, Quick question, Im have three professors that are willing to write me letters of reference and i am sure they will be great. My question is, will it look bad if all three of my references are professors and I dont have any references from my internship? I could ask my supervisor from my past internship, but im not sure if hers would be as strong. Thanks in advance! AJ

Hey guys! What an awesome community! I will applying to the following schools.. - San Diego State - Boston University - San Francisco State (maybe?) - Loyola University (maybe?) - University of Texas at Austin - Washington University in St. Louis - UCLA (maybe?) My first choice is definitely SDSU, but I am a bit concerned at whether or not I have a shot at getting in. I have a good GPA, going to have good reference letters, and some experience volunteering in human services... so i guess we will see. Anyone here get into UCLA without extensive work experience? On their website they said they prefer those with 3-5 years of social work experience? Good Luck Everyone!

Hi all, I am about to start on my SOP's for a few different MSW programs around the country and I am curious if it is customary to mention professor's you are interested in doing research with. I am looking to do a clinical program, so I was curious if it was worth mentioning since I will be mainly working with clients. Thanks a lot in advance!
