  1. RIGHT. THIS IS THE LONGEST DAY OF MY LIFE.
  2. My FPA just emailed me saying to call him when I hear from Fulbright... WHY. WHY. HE KNOWS THE OUTCOME. I feel sickly.
  3. Just got a response: "Prepare for the worst, hope for the best." - Santa Claus. As you know tomorrow is the day. I THOUGHT IT WAS TODAY FOR FULL GRANTS?!?! Now I am more confused...and who quotes Santa...THAT IS NOT COMFORTING.
  4. Guys, I feel so popular right now. Thank the baby Lord if we don't get Fulbright we at least have VIRTUAL FRIENDSHIP and Frosty's.
  5. I love best friends! This can be arranged. Our lives can be in shambles together.
  6. I emailed my FPA last night in a moment of panic asking if he knew if the cuts were close to being announced... HE DIDN'T RESPOND. JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL
  7. Wait, so do we think we're finding out Friday now and not tomorrow?? Jesus, I need to put Taco Bell on speed dial for the next 48 hours.
  8. LITERALLY HEART ATTACKS ALL DAY EVERY DAY. CAN I GET AN AMEN.

  12. God, literally I have never been this nervous in my life. I don't know if a rejection would be easier next month or in April, but I don't know how my little bunny heart is going to take it.
  13. THE 31ST?! IN THE PAST THEY'VE HEARD BY THE 25! whyyyyy
  14. Yes and I freaked out it was them already telling me no!
  15. Congrats!! I also applied as an Arts applicant too, for creative writing. Anyone else an Arts person here? Personally I like starting with the French--it's different than what they'll hear all day in the Germany auditions. Good luck!
  16. Guys....... It's a really long time until January..... I AM DYING.
  17. Oh SHIT now I am even more nervous. There's nothing that can be done, though, you're right. Let's just hope maybe my proposal was interesting enough to keep them wanting to see more....
  18. QUESTION! So I've been reading a lot of posts from last year and they've all consistently said that the letter of affiliation is the most important aspect of the application for full grants. After spending the last year working on my grant proposal idea to Denmark, I learned that my affiliation, which has already been agreed upon, would not give me a letter of affiliation until I apply to their graduate program, which isn't possible until MARCH 2013. I applied through a university and a professor who agreed to be my advisor. Long story short I FREAKED OUT and thought it was the end of the line. I contacted the Fulbright head of Europe and Eurasia, Rachel, and she gave me the go-ahead as long as I put in my grant proposal that I WILL apply and have the school's support and hers. Obviously I still submitted my app, but I can't help but wonder..will this hurt me anyway, not having a letter despite my explanation and support?? I know it's so important, and I'm scared despite my name-dropping telling of my special circumstance in my application that this could be a MAJOR fault. Anyone have an insights? I'm honestly worried.
  19. Exactly, and the waiting is only going to get worse! What are everyone's alternate plans?? Mine are a little muddy. I'm applying for Fellowships with some big media places in DC--NPR, The National, those kind of places but, again, these are also not guaranteed! If all else fails i hope to get a job where I'm interning this semester. Anyone else?
  20. I'm applying for a Full Grant in Denmark (creative writing). Nerves, nerves, nerves!
  21. Just spent literally an hour stalking last year's forum on the date everyone found out if they made it past the fist round. Now I just feel 7865984x MORE nervous seeing how many rejections there are! Good luck everyone, only three more months to wait.
  22. APPLICATION SUBMITTED!!! SO SO SO SO HAPPY.
  23. AHH my Fulbright interview is on Friday and I am FREAKING OUT. Anyone already been through this and have any advice?
