Is it just horrible luck that none of the admits are on Grad Cafe? Leaving us in the dark!!! -

So does anyone think that Duke has already sent out acceptances? I'm not sure I understand how it is possible to have decided on waitlisters if admissions decisions have not already been made. The former seems to depend on the latter, no? -

Thank you! Alas..."decision not ready." (Is this a euphemism for "no")? -

Sorry guys, but how do I view my status page for Duke? Where do I create this new account of which I am apparently ignorant? -

Wow, it's really great to see the "wealth" spread among so many. (Any Marxists here? ) My stomach is in knots in anticipation of tomorrow. Oh Duke, please!!! -

So, after one rejection (veteran of the Vandy bloodbath) I am aggressively considering other options. Does anyone know anything about the College of Charleston MA program? -

I was also a member of the Vandy "bloodbath" yesterday and while your first comment is meant to be encouraging, I still worry; I applied to Vandy, Duke, UNC, Columbia, WUSTL, Penn, and Brown! I really wish I diversified my portfolio a bit. -

Oh Vandy, I was really hoping my first response wouldn't be a rejection. Oddly enough, I am not entirely upset that it is now the weekend. -

Nothing from Duke yet!?!? Of course, I am making assumptions based on precedents from 2012 -

Regarding this apparent debate of academic altruism vs self preservation, let me throw this out there: karma! Buddhism says that our actions have consequences; let's assume that "good" actions have good consequences. -

So did anyone else notice that some of the spaces (e.g. "Department") have reverted to blanks on the ApplyYourself application? I think my stomach just dropped to my feet. -

One of my favorite books; the movie, however, is more difficult to sustain. As for me: On the Road by Kerouac--makes me feel horribly stationary, but I'm enjoying it! -
