  1. Knowing the answers to these questions won't help you strategize or perform better on the tests, so why bother? The fact of the matter is that you will never know which section is the experimental section (provided there isn't an identified research section instead) since it can even be Section 2, and knowing whether the experimental section is math or verbal won't help you out either. During the test any amount of time one spends trying to identify the experimental section is a waste and is better spent pondering the actual problems.
  2. Hi everyone, I just took the GRE for the first time and was really excited to get an unofficial verbal score of 170. However, now I'm incredibly paranoid that the official score might be different and I really can't endure waiting two weeks to find out. I know unofficial scores rarely change, but does a score of 170V mean that I didn't miss any questions and therefore my unofficial score couldn't shift down? Has anyone unofficially gotten a 170 and seen it shift downward? I would really like some reassurance because this uncertainty is killing me.
