I'm applying for MS Psychology in Education at Columbia TC this year and was wondering if my undergrad GPA will forever kill my chances. I have an overall 3.05 and my major GPA is 3.3 (went to JHU). A thing to note is I was placed on academic probation for having 2.05 in one semester (had family and personal issue), however, I had a pretty strong upward trend, and was able to finish my last semester with a 3.62 Dean's List. Since I graduated, I've been doing 2 years of research in education and one of my big accomplishment was being a co-author of a book chapter. I realize that my undergrad grades are pretty weak but I was hoping my research experience might be able to compensate that. What do you think? I'm SO nervous to even apply to this program!!! Thanks so much for any insight!!
