nycpolicy Posted January 12, 2018 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Every application I've filled so far has included this question, with only one (NYU Wagner) stating directly that the answer will have no bearing on admission decisions. TBH, it freaks me out. How important/trivial is the answer to this question? What exactly are adcoms using it for? How should you answer this question for your No. 1 school? I think the programs just try to use this as a way to gauge their competition but I can't imagine that they accept or don't accept anyone based on their answers to it.
