Dear colleagues,

I am looking for graduate programs that allow specialisation in the sociology of knowledge and expertise, preferably along with historical and comparative sociology. I know it's rare, but I'm sure they exist!

The closest I've seen are schools that offer specialization in science studies. It has knowledge in it but specific to science, technology, and medicine. I was also trying to look for schools because my interests also involved sociology of knowledge. You can try University of California San Diego. They have comparative historical and sociology of science, technology, and medicine. Hopefully someone else can provide more schools.

I have similar interests, and I would second the recommendations from others here, I applied to UCSD, UPenn HSS, and Northwestern.

My interests lie primarily in soc of knowledge (headed to Northwestern) and I would add UChicago (they also have their Knowledge Lab research center) to the previously mentioned. If you have interests at the intersection of knowledge/science and race/ethnicity, there are also great faculty at NYU, Columbia, and Penn, among others.
