petrostat Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I fitted multiple mathematical models to a set of data and then calculated the R2, AIC, RMSE. Now how can I combine these measures of goodness of fit into one objective function to identify the top performing mathematical models? insert_name_here 1
Bayesian1701 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 This forum for people applying to graduate school in mathematics or statistics. But to answer your question there is no one right way to compare different models. All of those measures have different pros and cons and it depends on what you are looking for. No one can really answer your question here. If you are a student see if there is a statistical consulting center on your campus to help with these kinds of problems.
