Dress Attire for open house

Hi Everyone, 

I am going to be attending an open house and am wondering how to pack for the trip. Are these events casual or more formal for attire?

 

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks everyone.

@e_m_m I attented one a couple of weeks ago and it was more casual than I thought it would be. I wore black jeans, a sweater, and some booties and several other girls were dressed like I was. There were some girls there that were students at the school for undergrad and they came how they were in their classes, leggings, t-shirt, and a pullover.

I attended three open houses and all of them were pretty casual. I was a little over dressed for the first one (I went in slacks, a long sleeved shirt, and high heels) and after that I started dressing more casually. @amf18 's suggestion is good. Wear dark jeans, a sweater, and some decent shoes and you're good!

Casual is totally fine.

Casual is fine, sweaters/cardigans and dark jeans work perfect. I'd also suggest wearing comfortable shoes, one of my open houses had a walking tour and my feet were killing me even in small heels!
