So I still did not receive any news from the ME department. How bad is this? Does anyone have an idea about what to expect?

I'm too waiting for updates. I applied to MIT cse program with mech as host dept.

I am waiting for the update from MIT CSE PhD program (ME department) as well. No updates yet. Seems like we'll get them in this week.
