KendallSLPA Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 I just wanted to see what everyone’s study tips were that really helped them to do good on the GRE. My first time around applying to the SLP programs I was rejected from all schools and I know my GRE scores were not good so I want to raise my scores for next application round to give myself a better chance of being accepted this time. Any tips would be much appreciated!!
maryclare01 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 I used the ETS Prep book because they are the ones who make the GRE. I really focused on math and did a lot of math reviews in the book which helped me out a lot!

Jordyn_M463 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 I used a Kaplan book. I just spent a few hours a day on studying and taking practice exams for about a month before my test date. I raised Verbal and Quantitative scores by at least 8 points each and I think I honestly studied haphazardly. It was amazing how just knowing a few tips and tricks that Kaplan explained in their books and refreshing my memory (especially in math) helped my scores. I think I could have done even better had I focused more but I got into 3/5 schools so it worked out.
