Torontonian Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Hey Everyone, I have just finished my MSW and would like to return for a PhD down the road. But I have not been able to find any information on the GPA requirements for PhD programs, especially in Canada. All programs keep saying that it depends on the entirety of the application, but there has to be something that is preferred, and something that is considered a cutoff. Any ideas?
CurseTen Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 While I have not honestly been looking in Canada, the programs that I have looked at have hinted to seeking 3.5, but a lot of times it depends on 1) Who else is applying that you will be competing with for a spot, and 2) How well rounded your application is. I was told that my GRE score (just under 300) is good enough for an application, but not good enough for a University scholarship (not from the school of SW).
