They really do keep track of how many times you check your application!!

1000 visits = 25k; wow, why bother going to school. This could be a full time job :)

No kidding! I'm still checking, even though I know my result. You know, in case they sneakily add something.

It never changes, though.

Such restraint!

I check maybe once a day excluding weekends. And for someone who asked a while back, the school is UC Irvine.

i used to check all the time, now i just sit back and wait for them....i feel that at this point if the schools aren't polite enough to me (keeping me updated), why should i worry & fret over who gets in/who doesn't. my worrying doesn't change anything. it sucks though...putting all that time, effort and everything into something and it doesn't really pan out the way you want :(

(crying in some dark corner with Matt Damon on my left, Eddie Murphy in front facing me, and Osama Bin Laden on my right -- Matt & Osama are hugging me mad tight and wiping my tears lol...pls keep in mind that i'm a guy...with a gf lmao grad school apps really made me nuts this year)

Now that I know that my first choice is finalizing applicants and will be sending out decisions at the end of next week, I stopped checking the application status page for every school I applied to. I think knowing that has calmed me down a bit and I can concentrate on the more finer things in life such as trying to cram as much information into my head before grad school starts.

joro, I think most of us would be calmer with checking the status of applications if we knew the actual progress of applications in the system. Perhaps the schools should indicate this, but I doubt they are bothered enough.

That would be great if they had a kind of progress bar, but I don't think they have time to do any of that.

I would even be happy if they told us their track record on offers. eg. We tend to send out offers by the end of March

At least it would give us an indication, and we needn't fret in February! tongue.gif
