About Cornell Math

Could anyone say something about the Math department of Cornell? Thank you.

I go to school a couple of hours from Cornell, they know who we are and that we're a good school and yet from what I've been told they've never accepted anyone from my school. Snooty fuckers.

I know that this is useless information.

Cornell is a very good school (especially in topology, mathematical physics and logic - recursion theory in particular), though possibly more selective than its reputation warrants. Ithaca is a very nice place (despite the cold), but fairly isolated.
