Necessary to check GRE and transcript status?

Hello all! Do you all check with your programs to ensure they have received your GRE scores and your transcripts? Is this necessary? I’m applying to 17 schools, and I really don’t want to spend all that time emailing all the programs. But at the same time, I want to make sure they have received my materials. Any thoughts? Thank you!!!

Wondering about this too. I receive a notification when the transcripts are received (you can often track that from your end when you place the order). But I haven’t heard anything about the GRE. 

Might be worth a call to the grad admission office just to make sure.

All of the programs I applied to had an application tracking option where I could log back in and check the status of both the transcripts and the GRE scores. Do your programs not have this?

Some of the programs I applied to have where you can track through the online portal..some do not. Most specify that it is your responsibility that you ensure that all items are received...so if you can't check it online then I would definitely follow up with a phone call or email!

Thanks all! Some of my programs show status of transcript on the online portal, but most don’t. So I guess i’ll have to call the schools... Good luck everyone!!
