Dear GradCafe,

My name is Kate Mills and I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon (Psychology Department). I am not reading through the forum, but I was wondering if some of you could help me gauge the norms around the travel arrangements for interview for applicants to doctoral programs in psychology and neuroscience. I have created a form asking three simple questions (https://goo.gl/forms/qUxafo3hEoZ7UCP42): the school's name, the program, and how the program deals with travel arrangements. I've noticed that schools have vastly different approaches arranging applicant travel for interviews and I am hoping that, moving forward, more schools will book applicant travel up front rather than burden applicants to shoulder these costs. Your responses are anonymous.

I know this time is one of stress (both good and bad) for many of you and I wish you the best.

Thank you!

Kate
